PRESS RELEASES

Further market development in India

We welcome our new area representative for the Indian market: M/s KANAK MACHINE TOOLS Delhi, represented by the Managing Directors Mr. Shailesh Gupta and Mr. Naveen Gupta. We are looking forward to a successful cooperation.

Innovation STELLA SunGrind®

With the newly developed bond system STELLA SunGrind® the STELLA GROUP is placing an innovative product on the market. Abrasives with this bond matrix surprise with an extraordinarily good profile retention. Additional benefits are an extension of the dressing cycle and the improved lifetime of the grinding wheels. Also the cutting features are enhanced by the bond system STELLA SunGrind®. This will allow to replace in parts the sintered corundum with grinding wheels made of fused aluminium oxides and consequently to reduce grinding costs.

On the road to a green production

STELLA manager Flavio Herrmann gives the go-ahead for the starting up of the company-owned greenfield photovoltaic system. The plant was built on a former plot of Winterling company which had been acquired with a total surface area of about 10,000 square metres by STELLA Group in summer 2015. The picture above shows the company-owned photovoltaic system which is approx. 450 metres away from STELLA and which covers the energy demand at the Schwarzenbach location in terms of figures by 100 %. Thus the use of renewable energies increases significantly within the STELLA GROUP and allows an increasingly environmentally compatible production with a reduction of energy costs at the same time.

This happens quite in the sense of the corporate philosophy which puts sustainability, target-oriented thinking and future-oriented acting in the centre of corporate management, explains STELLA manager Flavio Herrmann. The almost seven-digit investment is once again a clear and long-term commitment to our company site in Schwarzenbach/Saale.

“The photovoltaic plant sustainably secures our competitiveness and consequently the future of our company.”

Flavio Herrmann, Managing Director and Shareholder of the STELLA GROUP

Expanding the location

For securing the future of the Schwarzenbach site the STELLA Group has acquired the neighbouring property with a surface area of about 5,600 square metres along with a complex of buildings (including a former shopping centre). According to the managing director Dr. Herrmann the buildings will be partly rented and in addition increase the storage space at the production site.

Also the parking situation at the growing site in Schwarzenbach will be improved by more than 80 additional parkings.
